Workpartners teams are made up of people who come from all over Australia to spend about 2 weeks doing building and renovation work at Talua Theological Institute. Located on Vanuatu’s largest island (Espiritu Santo, or “Santo” for short), Talua is the Bible College for the Presbyterian Church of Vanuatu. The college has been located for 26 years on this campus, after nearly 70 years on a nearby island. It’s in a tropical climate, and ongoing building maintenance is needed for this important and strategic facility.
On the next trip, in November/December 2016, the Workpartners team is planning to finish the work of replacing old and damaged power poles on the college campus. Apart from this maintenance work, the team will spend time together in fellowship and in Bible studies, and also meeting and coming to know some wonderful Christian brothers and sisters. There will be opportunities for free time, and Workpartners will get to know the locals as they work and play alongside them. It will be a challenging trip, but also rewarding.
